WORKING STORY BUDGET CALENDAR: Deliverables

All team multimedia packages need a 400-word contribution from each of its members; sections should have at least two quotes, background and relevant stat. We will need a print version of your team story, so this will help us compile the stories. It’s up to each team member how much of the text you want to include in your section of the multimedia tumblr package. All tumblr packages should have multimedia for each section. This could include photos, tweets, video, audio, maps, links to relevant sites and documents.

**If you are working on a story, you don’t have to write the column.**

Individual stories should be at least  500 words with two sources/quotes and relevant stat, photo and links.

Oct. 27

Done TEAM: SATIRE (Danielle Cook, Michele) Can young people tell the difference between fact and fiction on the Web? Looking at news and media literacy programs.

Done TEAM: Education (Jessica,R, Greg,Mike): How has the Web changed classroom instruction in the last 25 years.

Done TMI (JessicaW) How social media can affect future job opportunities. Looking at cases of people dismissed for what they post.

Done HOLLYWOOD (Michele) How entertainers use social media to build brands.

Done HARASSMENT (DanielleCor) Female bloggers tend to be the subject of harassment by critics. Looking at why.

Done HEALTHAPPS (Danielle Cook) How high tech apps are improving communication between docs and patients. Do apps really help patient.

Done LOCALSPORTS (Mike Montalto) Local sports at high school and college levels have become easy to follow through websites that update during games and feature post game analysis and stats.

DONE YOUTUBEFAME (Sammy): A look at how the Internet is creating instant celebrities.

DONE PETTECHGAMES (JessicaR) Rescue centers use a high tech toy helps kittens play and get the attention of users online.

DONE PHOTOSHOP (Caitlin) A tech, online angle.

DONE NETNEUTRALITY (Greg) A look at the debate on Internet access, and what it means for everyday online users.

DONE PROGRAMMING (Greg) The Internet has allowed the audience to pitch and bring back favorite TV shows. Some progams were conceived on the Web, others lobbied on the Web to bring shows back.

DONE PETNETWORK (Jessica Ross)Taking a look at how the Interent is creating communitie for petowners.

DONE RADIO (Michele): How the internet and radio apps are transforming radio and allowing it to reach more audience.

DONE DATINGONLINE (Sammy) Taking a look at dating using TINDER. What is review?

DONE OVER50Datingonline(Jessica) Taking a look at the how 50+ are adapting to online dating.

DONE GENERATIONS (Mike) Focus on one family’s use of the Internet and how it impacts their daily lives.
